La Vendee Wallpaper
Named after a sunny, verdant bit of the Atlantic Coast in the Loire Valley of France, this pattern strikes that elusive balance between bold and delicate. Reminiscent of Indian Palampore bedspreads from centuries ago, La Vendee is as timeless now as it was when it was originally introduced in 1968.
CW Stockwell carefully re-built the artwork for 2022 using a collection of timeworn wallpaper scraps - taking artistic license to fill in the gaps here and there. La Vendee’s rich compilation of seven screens -meaning it uses up to seven distinct ink colors to produce - allows us to create colorways with unmitigated depth and texture.
La Vendee Wallpaper is printed in small batches by hand by in Los Angeles, California at a family-owned facility. Printed on matte, clay-coated paper, it trims to 26″ wide and is sold by the roll. Each roll is five yards. For ease of installation, our wallpaper orders are fulfilled in double (10 yard) or triple (15 yard) bolts depending on your order quantity.
The Desert, Dusk and Grove colorways of our La Vendee Wallpaper are printed on warmer off-white paper grounds; Chocolate, Indigo, Seadrift, Tangerine and Denim colorways are printed on a white ground.
